The Metal of Zelda: Ocarina of Awesome
Posted by Matt
Do you like Legend of Zelda? Do you also like metal or rock? Well, I certainly do. Today I bring to you a very talented musician by the name of Jim Cook, who writes, performs and produces his own metal covers to the Legend of Zelda game soundtracks.
The first song that I listened to from Jim, was a metal coverĀ of the theme song from the game Deus Ex. I discovered that the track was part of an album called Deus Ex Machina, that contains a variety of metal covers for other games, including The Legend of Zelda.
Sadly, I cannot find the download link for the album as it seems it was removed from Jim’s YouTube channel. Luckily, I still have a copy of the album before, and so I will ask for permission to re-upload it for those who would be interested in listening to it.
There are many things that I can say about Jim and his music, but I’ll keep it at this. Jim is talented, awesome and deserves way more attention than he seems to get. With that said, I highly suggest you subscribe to his YouTube channel and show your support.
Update: I have obtained the permission to re-upload the album Deus Ex Machina for those interested. You can download the album here.
